Incheon City Selects 5 Wellness Tourism Sites Including Vegan Cafes and Resorts, Total Now 25 Locations
Incheon City and the Incheon Tourism Organization announced on the 3rd that they have newly selected five wellness tourism destinations (including one preliminary site) where visitors can take care of both their body and mind.
Since 2021, Incheon wellness tourism destinations have been selected annually through public contests based on five themes: healing and meditation, beauty and spa, nature and marine therapy, healthcare, and well-being food. With the addition of the five new sites, the total number has increased to 25.
The newly selected wellness tourism destinations are ▲ The Week & Resort ▲ Stira Yoga ▲ Inspire Entertainment Resort ▲ Cha Deokbun ▲ Heewarae Coffee Roasters (preliminary).

View original imageThe Week & Resort is located in Eulwang-dong, Jung-gu, and offers various types of rooms including pet-friendly and panoramic ocean view rooms, along with diverse amenities. It is a place where guests can enjoy wellness stays utilizing nature, such as sunset yoga and children's forest experiences.
Stira Yoga is a yoga meditation center located at the foot of Baegunsan near Incheon International Airport, offering various programs such as indoor yoga conducted in English and mindfulness meditation while overlooking a dense forest.
Inspire Entertainment Resort, located on Yeongjongdo Island, is a complex resort consisting of a 5-star hotel, a multipurpose performance hall, and a convention center. It is preparing wellness stay programs utilizing indoor water park 'Splash Bay,' experiential park 'Discovery Park,' and 'digital art.'
Cha Deokbun, located at Gu-eup Baetteo on Yeongjongdo Island, is a tea cafe with a sea view that offers traditional Korean tea and reinterpreted traditional tea snacks. The tea room 'Mueon' operates Tea Morning (10 a.m.) sessions in various foreign languages.
Heewarae Coffee Roasters is a vegan cafe located on Ganghwado Island that offers desserts made from plant-based ingredients and seasonal ingredients grown on Ganghwado, and operates vegan baking and cooking programs.
The city supports the development of customized professional wellness programs for the 25 wellness tourism destinations through expert consulting and assists in developing stay products called 'Incheon Healing Stay' linked with surrounding resources. In particular, to expand the base of wellness tourism stays, a welcome kit will be assembled and provided to tourists.

Meanwhile, 'Gyeongwonjae Ambassador Incheon' and 'Geumpung Brewery' were selected as new excellent wellness tourism destinations for 2024 by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization, bringing the total number of excellent wellness tourism destinations in Incheon to six.
