Yongin City to Operate 'Future Technology School' for IT and Semiconductors Starting June
Customized Corporate Workforce Training and Job Creation Goals

Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 3rd that it will operate the 'Future Technology School' program from June to train personnel in the semiconductor and information technology (IT) fields.
This program, promoted through the selection of Gyeonggi Province's 'Future Technology School Operation Support Project,' is a financial support project for education and training aimed at customized workforce development and job creation in response to changes in the industrial environment. The city will invest a total of 290 million KRW, including 145 million KRW from the provincial government, following the selection.
The city plans to select the implementing institution for the project according to the selection and recruit participants within this month to officially operate the program from June. The education program supports customized workforce development courses in the 4th industrial revolution fields such as IT, semiconductors, and bio.
Anyone aged 15 or older residing in Gyeonggi Province can participate, with priority given to Yongin citizens. Participants in the project can attend education and training and practical sessions free of charge and will receive a certain amount of training allowance.

A city official stated, "We are exploring various support measures to nurture talent that will lead future advanced industries," adding, "We will present a model case of talent development through government-academic cooperation and make every effort to secure national and provincial funding."
