The Our Republican Party expressed its welcome regarding the passage of the ‘Daegu City Park Chung-hee Memorial Project Ordinance’ through the Daegu City Council plenary session on the 2nd.
On the 2nd, Our Republican Party leader Jo Won-jin issued a press release stating, “The great achievements of President Park Chung-hee, who was highly praised even by the world’s famous leaders, demonstrated to the world how great the free Republic of Korea is through ‘industrialization’ and the ‘Miracle on the Han River.’ We, along with the people, welcome the passage of the Daegu City Park Chung-hee Memorial Project Ordinance through the Daegu City Council plenary session, which promotes the great achievements of President Park Chung-hee.”
Leader Jo said, “President Park Chung-hee led the Republic of Korea’s industrial revolution, cultural revolution, rural revolution, economic revolution, export revolution, welfare revolution, heavy and chemical industry revolution, transportation revolution, education revolution, and medical revolution to success against the false agitation of communist forces,” adding, “He fought against the North Korean Kim Il-sung communist forces who only talked about and shouted for a paradise on earth, and the pro-North Korean Juche faction forces, demonstrating the greatness of liberal democracy.”
