Mokpo Coast Guard, 4 Young Interns Officially Start Work
Enhancing Young Adults' Understanding of Policy Processes and Expanding Career Choice Opportunities
Mokpo Maritime Police Station (Chief Kwon Oh-seong) announced on the 1st that it hired six youth interns on the 29th of last month to provide young people preparing to enter society with policy participation experience.
The operation of youth interns in the public sector is a government policy aimed at expanding work experience opportunities for youth and reflecting diverse youth perspectives across national administration.

The six hired youth interns were assigned to the Planning and Operations Division, Security and Rescue Division, Maritime Safety Division, Investigation Division, Equipment Management Division, and Marine Pollution Prevention Division, respectively, and are expected to gain practical work experience for six months until October 28.
Furthermore, the Maritime Police plans to actively support youth interns by placing them in specialized departments to enhance their understanding of public service and enable their participation in Mokpo Maritime Police policy processes.

Jo Min-young (28), a youth intern assigned to the Planning and Operations Division, said, “I am happy to take a step closer to my dream based on the youth intern experience,” and added, “I will do my best as a member of Mokpo Maritime Police for the next six months.”
