Discount When Paying on Jeonnam Tourism Platform App

Gohung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gong Young-min) announced that the Namdo Accommodation Discount BIG Event project, which is being promoted to enter the era of 10 million tourists through the revitalization of local tourism, is being operated with great popularity.

The Namdo Accommodation Discount BIG Event project provides differential support (discounts) on accommodation fees when tourists residing outside Jeollanam-do and Gwangju Metropolitan City use designated accommodations located within Gohung-gun and make reservations and payments through the Jeonnam Tourism Platform (JNTOUR) app.

The Jeonnam Tourism Platform (JNTOUR) can be downloaded and registered by anyone from the App Store or Play Store.

The support criteria are as follows for one night’s accommodation fee: ▲40,000 KRW for fees of 100,000 KRW or more ▲30,000 KRW for fees of 70,000 KRW or more ▲20,000 KRW for fees less than 70,000 KRW. Additionally, members of the Jeonnam Sarangae (愛) Supporters receive an extra 10,000 KRW discount on top of the discount amount.

Last year, prior procedures such as filling out an application form before accommodation were mandatory, but this year, the discount is automatically applied when booking and paying through the Jeonnam Tourism Platform (JNTOUR) app, simplifying the process and expected to increase users.

A county official said, “Through this project, together with Jeonnam Province, we will induce the revitalization of local tourism in our county and manage related accommodations such as hotels, pensions, and guesthouses, making further efforts to enhance the tourism image of Gohung.”
