The Happy Ttukttak Rural Medical Volunteer Service is a social contribution project initiated by KB Securities last year to bridge the medical gap between urban and rural areas. The activity areas are selected considering medical welfare and population status, and the service is carried out together with the Open Medical Association and professional medical staff to provide safer and more specialized medical services.
Through the Happy Ttukttak Rural Medical Volunteer Service, about 40 KB Securities employee volunteers, Open Medical Association volunteer medical staff, and related personnel visited the multipurpose center in Sannae-myeon, Miryang-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the 28th, providing comprehensive medical services including internal medicine, dentistry, and Korean medicine to local elderly residents.
Last year, KB Securities visited rural areas in Okcheon-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do, and Anseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, providing free medical support to about 240 elderly people. This year, starting with Miryang in Gyeongnam, they plan to conduct a total of four medical volunteer activities, including Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do in May, Gumi-si, Gyeongbuk in May, and Gokseong-gun, Jeonnam in June.
Seonghyun Kim and Honggu Lee, CEOs of KB Securities, stated, "The core of KB Securities' ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management is creating social value through co-growth with local communities," adding, "We will continue to carry out various sustainable social contribution activities that resonate with many members of our society."
