People Power Party lawmaker Ahn Cheol-soo raised his hand and said, "Me!" when asked about the next president.
On the 28th, Ahn appeared on the SNL Korea Season 5 segment "Malnun-gwang-i Ganda" and said, "I believe the only way for us to survive is through a science economy, and if there is consensus on the topic of 'who is the best at science economy,' I think I will be chosen."

Ahn also responded to former People Power Party Emergency Committee Chairman Han Dong-hoon’s absence from a lunch with President Yoon Seok-youl due to health reasons by saying, "(If it were me,) I would attend professionally."
He added, "Honestly conveying and communicating the feelings one experiences is the most important thing. Giving up without even trying that effort does not suit my personality." He sent a video message to former Chairman Han, saying, "I saw how hard you campaigned. I hope you recover quickly, and when the time is right and your thoughts are settled, I hope to meet and have an open and sincere conversation with you."

He continued, "There really is no answer to this," and said, "If I were a third party, I would go alone." When asked, "How long do you think the Lee Jae-myung and Cho Kuk alliance will last?" he replied, "Not long. Soon they will have to go to prison."

Earlier, Democratic Party lawmaker Park Ji-won recommended Ahn as the ruling party leader, saying, "It has to be that way because otherwise it will fail. It’s because they withdrew." In response, Ahn said, "(Park) said that Ahn Cheol-soo would definitely lose in this election," adding, "I interpret that as a fear of my success." Meanwhile, on the same day, Ahn pointed out on his Facebook regarding the ruling party’s defeat in the general election, "The fundamental cause is the failure of the government and the ruling party," and said, "It is due to the failure of the government’s national policy direction that did not meet the people's expectations, and the failure of the relationship between the party and the government." He continued, "Until our party members and the people say this is enough, the government and the ruling party must completely innovate their system and undertake a major transformation of national policy direction and party-government relations," adding, "To respond to the people's desire to create a country of fairness and common sense through the first-ever regime change in five years in constitutional history, the government and the ruling party must not fail anymore."
