Korea-US Hold Energy Security Dialogue... Discuss Ukraine Support and More
South Korea and the United States will hold the 10th Korea-US Energy Security Dialogue (ESD) in Houston, Texas, USA, from the 30th of this month to the 1st of next month.
According to the US Department of State on the 24th (local time), the two countries plan to broadly discuss energy security and energy transition priorities during the dialogue. Heesang Kim, Director-General for Economic Diplomacy Coordination at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Jeffrey Pyatt, US Department of State Deputy Assistant Secretary for Energy and Resources, will participate as representatives of the dialogue.
The agenda for the dialogue includes decarbonization efforts and clean energy cooperation, stabilization and diversification of critical mineral supply chains, US liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports, and the role of the private sector in responding to climate change. Support for Ukraine's energy infrastructure will also be discussed.

Additionally, the Korea-US government delegations plan to participate in public and private roundtables with senior executives of companies and financial experts from both countries.
