Sinan-gun and Gwangmyeong-si Sign Sisterhood Agreement for Mutual Development
Halmi-do to be Designated as an Honorary Island of Gwangmyeong City for Public Use
On the 24th, Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Park Woo-ryang) announced that on the 22nd, it signed a sisterhood agreement with Gwangmyeong City at the Gwangmyeong City Hall meeting room to promote mutual development through exchange and cooperation.
The signing ceremony was held with the attendance of about 50 people, including Sinan-gun Governor Park Woo-ryang, Gwangmyeong Mayor Park Seung-won, Sinan County Council Chairman Kim Hyuk-seong, Gwangmyeong City Council Chairman Ahn Seong-hwan, and members of the city and county councils.

In particular, amid discussions on the establishment of Gwangmyeong City's training center in Sinan-gun as a major issue, it was agreed to share Jaeundo (Halmido), which has the Infinite Bridge where the Infinito Museum designed by world-renowned Swiss architect Mario Botta will be built, as an honorary island of Gwangmyeong City.

Meanwhile, Sinan-gun, which shares 24 sister cities and 13 honorary islands, is experiencing a surge of visits without weekends from many sister city social organizations and public officials from Yeongdong, Pyeongtaek, Ongjin, Gyeongsan, Gimhae, Yuseong, Daegu Nam-gu, and other sister cities in spring. They are benchmarking various Sinan-gun policy projects such as the One Island One Garden project, the renewable solar pension that achieved 10 billion won in three years, and the One Island One Museum project.
