Japan: Object Possibly a North Korean Ballistic Missile Fell Outside Japan's EEZ
Japan's Ministry of Defense announced on the 22nd at around 3:04 PM that North Korea launched an object that is likely a ballistic missile, according to reports by Kyodo News and local public broadcaster NHK.
Later, a Japanese government official stated at around 3:15 PM that day, "The object, which is likely a ballistic missile, appears to have already fallen outside Japan's Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ)," NHK reported.
The Japanese government is currently analyzing the specifications of the North Korean ballistic missile, including its flight distance, altitude, and speed.
The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff also announced that North Korea launched a ballistic missile into the East Sea.
