The Public Building Green Remodeling Project utilizes renewable energy (such as solar panel installations) in existing buildings to improve the energy performance and air quality of aging buildings, reducing carbon emissions and creating a comfortable and healthy environment.
Since 2020, Daegu Dalseo-gu has been selected for the Public Building Green Remodeling Contest for three consecutive years, creating a safe and comfortable childcare environment at four national and public daycare centers (Geumbong, Seongseo, Keunbyeol, and Dalseo). It contributed to reducing air pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions by improving aging childcare facilities. Additionally, by utilizing renewable energy (such as solar panel installations), it is leading the creation of an eco-friendly childcare environment for infants and young children vulnerable to climate change.
