Muan Police Promote Traffic Safety and Healthy Walking Campaign
More than 100 Participants Including Kim San, County Governor of Muan
The Muan Police Station in Jeonnam (Chief Kang Yong-jun) announced on the 16th that on the 12th, they conducted a community-based traffic safety campaign by walking approximately 643 meters from Muan Bulmu Park to Muan Bus Terminal to create a safer Muan from traffic accidents.
This campaign was held with the purpose of participatory policing and sincere policing, involving about 100 participants including the police chief, police officers, the Muan County Governor, Muan County Office (Safety General Division, Construction and Transportation Division), Green Mothers' Association, Model Drivers' Association, Police Development Committee, and Muan Office of Education.

View original imageThey distributed traffic safety rule leaflets for the elderly and promotional items (wet tissues, patches, etc.), guiding citizens to avoid jaywalking, follow the three principles of defensive walking (Look, Stop, Walk), and wear bright clothes at night to help these habits become part of daily life.
Additionally, they actively promoted the revised Road Traffic Act, including the mandatory wearing of helmets for personal mobility devices and two-wheelers, as well as the correct way to navigate roundabouts.
Chief Kang Yong-jun stated, “Through this walking campaign involving policing partners and related organizations, we will strengthen the cooperative system, foster a culture of citizen participation, and continuously strive to establish a traffic safety culture.”
