Yoon, South Korean Prime Minister Hold First Weekly Meeting After General Election: "National Priorities, Livelihoods Above All"
Yoon Orders "Reexamination of Public Service Discipline"
On the 15th, President Yoon Suk-yeol urged Prime Minister Han Duck-soo, saying, "The priority of state affairs is 'people's livelihood, again people's livelihood,'" and asked him to "do his best to stabilize people's livelihood."
President Yoon made these remarks during a regular meeting with Prime Minister Han at the Yongsan Presidential Office, according to a written briefing by Kim Soo-kyung, spokesperson for the Presidential Office.
President Yoon also requested, "Please review the working atmosphere and discipline within the public service to stabilize people's livelihood."
This was President Yoon's first regular meeting with Prime Minister Han since the April 10 general election.
President Yoon's directive is interpreted as a remark expressing concern that the momentum for carrying out various reform tasks and state administration might weaken due to the crushing defeat in the general election.
