Samsung Cultural Foundation Opens SoundsS, a Music-Centered Complex Cultural Space

Novus Quartet Recital Opening Performance on the 22nd
Samsung Foundation of Culture (Chairman Kim Hwang-sik) announced on the 15th that it will open a music-centered complex cultural space, 'SoundsS,' in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on the 22nd.
SoundsS is a cultural space with a capacity of 50 seats, suitable for small-scale performances, lectures, and recordings. The foundation will present programs such as recitals by leading domestic performers and the talk show series 'The Master,' recitals and masterclass series 'Korean Winners' featuring international competition winners, the emerging musician series 'Discovery,' and the in-depth art class series 'Exclusive.'
The foundation also plans to promote a 'space support project' to assist emerging musicians and the development of the music field. SoundsS will be provided free of charge as a rehearsal space for performances and creation, a recording studio for album and music production, and a venue for showcases. The foundation plans to announce the support targets and selection methods within this year and begin full-scale support from next year.
The opening performances include the Novus Quartet recital on the 22nd, cellist Moon Tae-guk's recital on the 23rd, and violist Lee Hae-soo's masterclass on the 24th. SoundsS will hold planned performances every month.
