Gyeonggi-do Icheon City is preparing for the '38th Icheon Ceramic Festival' starting on the 25th by utilizing big data.
The city announced on the 15th that it has finalized plans to develop promotions and programs based on big data analysis of last year's event to ensure the successful hosting of the festival.
The city's analysis showed a significant increase in visitors from other regions, and the city explained that it will prepare promotional measures tailored to the visitors' regions and ages and operate the event flexibly.
To this end, the city will prioritize distributing promotional materials to businesses with high consumption amounts by industry and will broadcast festival promotional videos mainly in areas with a large influx of people. Subway stations and banner advertisements inside trains will also be actively used for promotion.
Additionally, based on the analysis of visitor data by gender and age, the city plans to develop region-specific customized programs and suggest effective promotional strategies through popular keyword analysis during online festival promotion.
The city especially plans to operate shuttle buses flexibly by day of the week, time of day, and region, which are the most visited by visitors, to improve accessibility for visitors.
