Yonsei Dairy A2 Protein Milk Sells 3 Million Units in 6 Months
Using only raw milk sourced from exclusive farms
Containing 100% A2 protein raw milk without heating or other processes
Yonsei University’s Yonsei Dairy announced on the 15th that its ‘Severance Exclusive Farm A2 Protein Milk’ has surpassed 3 million units in cumulative sales just six months after its launch.
A2 Protein Milk uses only raw milk that has passed strict inspections from dedicated farms directly managed by Yonsei Dairy. In this process, cows carrying the A2 protein gene are selectively separated and milked, undergoing a rigorous quality control system.
While regular white milk contains both A1 and A2 proteins, A2 milk consists solely of A2 protein. A1 protein releases up to four times more of the allergy-inducing substance ‘Beta-Casomorphin-7 (BCM-7)’ than A2 protein, which may cause intestinal inflammation such as stomach aches. Additionally, A2 Protein Milk contains 100% A2 protein raw milk without any additional processing other than heat treatment, resulting in a richer and more savory taste.
Furthermore, A2 Protein Milk recently won the highest grade ‘3 Stars’ in the ‘International Superior Taste Award’ at the ‘2024 International Food and Beverage Competition’ held in Brussels, Belgium. This competition evaluates products’ taste, aroma, and texture through blind tests conducted by over 200 experts worldwide. Yonsei Dairy earned the honor of proving global competitiveness as the first domestic A2 milk brand. Alongside this, Yonsei Dairy built consumer recognition through active promotional activities featuring broadcaster Seo Jang-hoon as a model.
A Yonsei Dairy official stated, “This achievement is thanks to the support from all consumers. We will strive to increase production and offer healthier and better milk.” He added, “With Seoul Milk recently launching A2+ milk, we expect the premium white milk market to gradually grow.”
