Anseong Matchum Art Hall Selected for Arts Management Support Center Public Project
Secured 260 Million KRW in National Funding... Showcasing Musicals, Opera, Ballet, and More
On the 12th, Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced that Anseong Matchum Art Hall has been selected for the '2024 Performing Arts Distribution' and '2024 Regionally Customized Small and Medium-sized Content Distribution' public projects hosted by the Arts Management Support Center and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, securing 262 million KRW in national funding.
This project aims to contribute to the development and distribution of works by bringing excellent performances recognized for their artistic quality to audiences at theaters nationwide, thereby enhancing regional art enjoyment and artistic experience.
In this public selection, Anseong Matchum Art Hall was chosen for a total of four works. For the 'Performing Arts Distribution' project, the musical Vanishing, the opera The Barber of Seville, and the ballet Les Mis?rables were selected. For the 'Regionally Customized Small and Medium-sized Content Distribution' project, the Performance Inviting the Tchaikovsky Competition Winner was chosen.
Kwon Ho-ung, Director of the Anseong City Culture and Arts Business Office, stated, "We will continue to strive to contribute to the realization of cultural welfare in Anseong City through active attraction of national and provincial funding support projects."
