Citizens of Cheonan, Chungnam will soon receive information about local tax and non-tax revenue arrears through KakaoTalk.
Cheonan City announced on the 12th that it will officially launch the 'KakaoTalk AlimTalk' service this month, which provides information on local tax and non-tax revenue arrears via mobile electronic notifications instead of paper notices.
Kakao AlimTalk is a service that sends arrears information to the taxpayer's smartphone under their name without requiring a separate application, and it completed a pilot operation last month.
When the notification is delivered through KakaoTalk, the recipient can view it and make immediate payments via the KakaoPay or Wetax apps directly from the screen, and various payment methods such as virtual accounts are also provided.

An official from Cheonan City stated, “Through the arrears notification Kakao AlimTalk service, taxpayers can check arrears information and make payments anytime and anywhere, which is expected to improve taxpayer convenience and the collection rate of arrears.”
