According to the National Election Commission, candidate Yoon defeated Hwang Ki-cheol of the Democratic Party of Korea in the 22nd general election held on the 10th, becoming the National Assembly member for Jinhae-gu, Changwon City.
Even with over 90% of the votes counted, the two candidates were in a tight competition, and the winner was decided at 1:44 PM on the 11th with 99.67% of the votes tallied.
