Anseong-si, Full-Scale Promotion of Urban Corporation Establishment
Regional Resident Briefings to Be Held Starting from the 12th
Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province has taken a full-scale step toward establishing an urban corporation.
Anseong City announced on the 9th that it plans to hold three regional residents' briefings on the feasibility of establishing the urban corporation from the 12th to the 17th.
Earlier, the city began a feasibility study for the establishment of Anseong Urban Corporation at the beginning of the year and is currently 75% through the research process. The city explained that it is collecting various opinions through city council meetings, interim reports, and meetings with related departments during this process.
The residents' briefings will be held three times, divided into the central, eastern, and western regions. Starting with the central region (City Central Library) on the 12th, the eastern region (East Anseong Citizens Welfare Center) on the 15th, and the western region (Gongdo-eup Office) on the 17th, briefings will be held respectively.
Through the briefings, the city plans to inform residents of the achievements and plans so far to increase administrative trust and listen to various opinions from the field.

Kim Bora, Mayor of Anseong City, said, "As the demand for urban development continues to arise, the establishment of an urban corporation to respond proactively and efficiently is more necessary than ever," adding, "We will do our best to establish an urban corporation that pursues citizen-centered urban development to prevent indiscriminate reckless development and return development profits to local residents."
