Gyeonggi-do to Host AI-Based Provincial Administration Idea Contest
Gyeonggi Province is holding a contest to find ideas for provincial administration using artificial intelligence (AI).
Gyeonggi Province announced that from the 8th to the 28th of this month, it will hold a public policy proposal contest under the theme "AI Gyeonggi Made Together with Residents" to implement AI-based provincial administration.
This contest was planned to generate ideas for using generative AI to solve problems in daily life (such as transportation, welfare, safety, environment, culture, etc.).
Generative AI is an artificial intelligence technology that learns from large-scale data and then creates new outputs such as images, videos, and text according to user requests by utilizing the learned data.
Gyeonggi Province will award certificates and a total prize of 7 million KRW, with up to 3 million KRW for the first place, to the five final winners.
The submitted proposals will be evaluated by expert and practical judges, and the winners will be decided at the final public judging held in June. The public judging will reflect opinions from the National Thinking Vote (10%), the audience evaluation group (30%), and the professional judging panel (60%).
Through this contest, Gyeonggi Province plans to discover various policies utilizing AI technology together with its residents.
