Seongdong-gu to Host 2024 Seongdong Tulip Flower Path Photo Contest
Submit Up to 2 Photos per Person Taken Along Jungnangcheon Tulip Flower Path from April 5 to 22
Award-Winning Works to Be Exhibited on Wangsimni Plaza Smart Mural and Used for Jungnangcheon Tulip Path Promotion
Seongdong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jeong Wono) will hold the '2024 Seongdong Tulip Flower Road Photo Contest' from April 5 to 22.
Seongdong-gu has renovated the area along Jungnangcheon Stream into a tulip flower road to offer residents the beauty of spring flower paths. In the Eungbong district section, about 95,000 tulips of various colors were planted to create a flower road approximately 2 km long, and Yongbi Rest Garden was planted with 50,000 flowers including tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths, creating a splendid flower bed to welcome visitors.
Accordingly, the photo contest is being held so that the whole family can enjoy and participate in the beautiful scenery of the Jungnangcheon tulip flower road and share it with all Seongdong residents.
Anyone who is a resident of Seongdong-gu or an employee working at a business located in Seongdong-gu can participate in this contest. Participants can submit up to two photos per person of the Jungnangcheon tulip flower road taken with a mobile phone, digital camera, etc., along with an application form, via email to the Cultural and Sports Division of Seongdong-gu Office. The submission form can be found on the Seongdong-gu Office website (News section).
The district will select one grand prize, two excellence awards, three merit awards, and about ten honorable mentions by judging suitability, artistic quality, originality, and popularity. The results will be announced on May 3 through the Seongdong-gu Office website. The scale of awards may vary depending on the number and quality of submissions.
Winners will receive the Mayor’s Award, and the winning works will be exhibited on the Wangsimni Plaza smart mural and used to promote the Jungnangcheon tulip flower road.
