GGM, Casper Electric Vehicle Mass Production Preparation 'Steadily'
Gwangju Global Motors is making thorough preparations ahead of the Casper electric vehicle production scheduled for July.
Gwangju Global Motors announced on the 3rd that since starting test production of the Casper electric vehicle on February 5th, it has been meticulously inspecting every aspect of performance and quality.
They are perfecting mass production preparations by establishing electric vehicle production infrastructure, conducting test drives, and going through trial production processes. On the 20th, about 50 new talents are expected to join, demonstrating that they have sufficiently secured excellent personnel as a specialized automobile manufacturing company.
Since CEO Yoomonghyun took office last year, and with the appointments of Kim Seokbong as Head of Production and Kim Daesik as Vice President earlier this year, the key management team is now fully composed of automobile experts, earning praise for having a perfect lineup ready for a new leap forward.
Based on this, Gwangju Global Motors plans to produce a total of 48,500 units this year, with 24,000 units in the first half and 24,500 units in the second half. Of these, 17,000 units, accounting for 70% of the second half production volume, will be electric vehicles.
If the production, sales, and export of electric vehicles proceed smoothly, the current single-shift production system will be expanded to a two-shift system to increase overall production volume, and local talent recruitment will be significantly increased, further leading efforts to create local jobs and revitalize the regional economy.
