Yulpo Solbat Beach Receives 2 Billion Won Investment, Tourism Revitalization Expected

Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that Yulpo Solbat Beach has been selected for the ‘2024 Aged Tourist Site Regeneration Project’ hosted by Jeollanam-do.

The ‘Aged Tourist Site Regeneration Project’ is a program aimed at revitalizing local tourism by improving old tourist facilities and introducing new tourism content.

The project budget secured through this contest is 2 billion KRW, and the main projects include ▲improvement of the Solbat Romantic Street walkway ▲installation of nightscape lighting and sculptures ▲enhancement of the outdoor performance stage ▲repaving of the aged parking lot ▲expansion of convenience facilities for tourists.

The project will be actively promoted starting from May this year, aiming to improve the tourist site’s parking facilities and expand convenience facilities such as restrooms, showers, and resting areas to minimize inconvenience for visitors using the beach from this summer.

After the peak summer season, special experiences will be provided to visitors by installing walkways, scenic sculptures, nightscape lighting, photo zones, and outdoor stages centered around Solbat Romantic Street and the sandy beach.

Kim Cheol-woo, the governor of Boseong-gun, said, “Since the designation of Yulpo Solbat Beach as a tourist site, the largest-scale projects have been promoted, including the Yulpo Marine Complex Center, which began construction in March this year, the Fishing Village New Vitality Promotion Project to increase residents’ income, and the Jeonnam Education Training Institute,” adding, “Boseong Yulpo Solbat Beach will become the center of South Coast tourism and be reborn as the nation’s top tourist destination.”
