Korea Forest Service to Host This Year's "Korea Forest Expo" in Gyeongju
The Korea Forest Service announced on the 2nd that Gyeongju City, Gyeongbuk Province, has been selected as the host city for this year's Korea Forest Expo.

View original imageGyeongju was highly evaluated for its successful operation of the 'Gyeongbuk Forest Expo' last year and was finally chosen as the host city for the Korea Forest Expo. This year's expo is scheduled to be held from October 18 to 23.
The budget for hosting the expo will be covered by the Korea Forest Service providing 270 million KRW and Gyeongbuk Province allocating 350 million KRW from its own budget.
This expo, considered the largest event in the domestic forestry and forest industry sector, is known to attract more than 200,000 visitors annually.

Nam Sung-hyun, head of the Korea Forest Service, said, “Gyeongju is a world-renowned tourist destination attracting 140,000 foreign visitors annually,” and added, “The Korea Forest Service will make every effort to ensure that the Korea Forest Expo held in Gyeongju becomes a practical and satisfying festival for both domestic tourists and people from around the world.”
