Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority Declares Political Neutrality
Compliance with Political Neutrality Obligations and Promotion of Proper Election Culture, etc.
Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Park Seong-hyun, YGPA) announced on the 1st that it held a declaration ceremony at its headquarters expressing its commitment to political neutrality.
This declaration was made to comply with the obligation of political neutrality as public officials belonging to a public institution and to foster a proper election culture.

The declaration includes △ compliance with the obligation of political neutrality △ prohibition of unfair acts using positions △ establishment of a fair election culture, among other contents.
President Park Seong-hyun said, “Our executives and employees have learned about their respective duties and prohibited acts through previous training,” adding, “Today’s declaration ceremony is a pledge to thoroughly comply with the trained contents in each of our duties and positions.”
He also emphasized, “Let us do our best to strictly observe the obligation of political neutrality until the general election voting day to prevent any violations.”

YGPA conducted political neutrality training for executives and employees on the 21st and is promoting special inspections and monitoring of political neutrality violations to establish strict service discipline and compliance with the code of conduct during the election period.
