Boseong Cherry Blossom Festival Event Successfully Concluded

Various Food Options, King Cherry Blossom Tunnel Walk Certification Event, and More

Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that the ‘11th Boseong Cherry Blossom Festival’ held on March 30 at the Boseong-gun Baekmin Art Museum Plaza was a great success.

On that day, about 5,000 people including residents, expatriates, and tourists participated under the fully blossomed spring weather, creating a sea of people as everyone captured scenes of spring and took memorable photos.

This year’s festival featured a variety of programs starting with a pungmul performance by the Mundeok Nongak Troupe and performances by local artists, followed by a commemorative ceremony, invited singer performances, a performance by the Boseong-gun Gugak Orchestra, an aerophone performance, and a cherry blossom singing contest.

Additionally, the Mundeok Women’s Volunteer Fire Brigade offered free warm Boseong green tea tastings to visitors at the event site, actively promoting the 47th Boseong Dahyang Festival.

Especially, unlike last year, photo zones were set up along the 1.5 km cherry blossom path stretching from the entrance of the royal cherry blossom tunnel to the event site, adding fun to the festival.

Jo Yeon-ok, Chairperson of the Boseong Cherry Blossom Festival Promotion Committee, said, “We hope everyone enjoyed the colorful performances along the pink cherry blossom path and had a happy time with their loved ones.” She added, “Although the festival has ended, we hope you create beautiful memories in the fully bloomed cherry blossom tunnel.”

County Governor Kim Cheol-woo said, “Congratulations on the grand opening of the 11th Boseong Cherry Blossom Festival in this beautiful season filled with flowers all around.” He added, “Please enjoy the beautiful spring feast here in Mundeok.”
