Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, Operates Forest Experience Program for Infants
Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 1st that it will operate experiential events where children can interact with nature at the Early Childhood Forest Experience Center.
Gwangsan-gu plans to provide experiential programs for local daycare centers and kindergartens where children can freely play in the forest and enhance their emotional stability. This is an opportunity to get closer to and become familiar with the forest by using various play materials, including the "Forest Greeting," which raises awareness of the preciousness of life. Certified early childhood forest instructors will be assigned to ensure safety and increase satisfaction with the forest experience through professional explanations and guidance.
There are a total of four Early Childhood Forest Experience Centers in the district, located in Gyeongam Park, Wondangsan Park, Ecological Park, and Muyang Park. Even if you do not participate in this program, the Early Childhood Forest Experience Centers are open to all citizens and can be visited and used at any time by individuals or families.
