Jeon Gwang-hoon: "Nomination Bribery Allegations Are Not True... Will Use All Means"
Sarang Jeil Church issued a press release on the 29th stating that it will take a strong stance using all civil and criminal means against the media outlets that have raised allegations of nomination bribes involving the Liberty Unification Party. On the morning of the 29th, Pastor Emeritus Jeon Gwang-hoon of Sarang Jeil Church held a press conference at the church in Jangwi-dong, claiming that YTN, which reported on the related allegations, ignored their demands for fair reporting and distorted the statements of whistleblower Mr. A through edited footage.
In response to these claims, YTN reported on the same day that "Pastor Jeon demanded the payment of a special party fee, asserting a 100% chance of winning a proportional representation seat, and additional recordings were confirmed that suggest the party’s nomination management committee chairman was involved." They also stated, "Mr. A’s side plans to soon file a complaint with the police against the Liberty Unification Party and Pastor Jeon for election law violations and fraud charges."
