Unid Appoints First Female Outside Director... Professor Jeong Dami of Myongji University
Regular Shareholders' Meeting on the 28th
Unid, the world's No. 1 potassium-based chemical product market share holder, has appointed a female outside director for the first time since its founding as part of its ESG management initiative.
On the 28th, Unid held its regular shareholders' meeting at its headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, and announced the new appointment of Professor Jeong Dami from Myongji University as an outside director.
Unid introduced Professor Jeong as "an expert encompassing both management, accounting, and ESG fields." Professor Jeong earned her Ph.D. in Business Administration from Seoul National University Graduate School.
She currently serves as a professor in the Department of Business Administration and as the dean of the College (Graduate School) of Business at Myongji University. Since last year, she has been the chair of the Strategy and Public Relations Committee at the Korea branch of the World Women Directors (WCD Korea).
Professor Jeong has served as a non-executive director at the Export-Import Bank of Korea and chaired the Risk Management Committee and ESG Committee. From 2015, she served for five years as an outside director and audit committee chair at Hansae Co., Ltd.
