BNK Gyeongnam Bank Hosts 'Gyeongnam Bank Cup Gateball Tournament'
A total of over 500 participants including athletes and cheering squads from 18 cities and counties in Gyeongnam
BNK Gyeongnam Bank held the '2024 BNK Gyeongnam Bank Gateball Tournament' on the 28th at the auxiliary stadium inside Changwon City Sports Complex.
The BNK Gyeongnam Bank Gateball Tournament is a local sports event jointly hosted since 2009 with the Gyeongsangnam-do Federation of the Korean Senior Citizens Association to promote the rights and welfare of the elderly.
The 2024 BNK Gyeongnam Bank Gateball Tournament saw the participation of over 500 people, including players and cheering squads, from 18 cities and counties in Gyeongsangnam-do.
Forty teams, composed of members of the Korean Senior Citizens Association aged 65 and older from the province, were divided into 20 men's teams and 20 women's teams, competing simultaneously in preliminary league matches across eight courts.
The 16 teams that advanced to the finals competed in a knockout format, with the top three teams in both men's and women's categories receiving awards for first, second, and third place.
