The signing ceremony, held the previous day at YK Gangnam main office in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, was attended by representative lawyer Beomhan Kim, partner lawyers Inseon Jo and Minwoo Lee, advisor Jeongsu Kim, Korea Association of Property Appraisers President Gilsu Yang, and advisory committee member Beomgyu Choi.
Based on its extensive experience in providing legal advice across various fields, YK plans to support the Korea Association of Property Appraisers by offering legal counsel related to property appraisal and associated tasks.
The Association of Property Appraisers is a statutory organization under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, established in accordance with the "Act on Property Appraisal and Property Appraisers." Its operational purposes include protecting the rights and welfare of its appraiser members and enhancing their professionalism. The association also strives to develop appraisal work, improve appraisal systems, and promote international exchanges.
Property appraisal is utilized in real estate transactions and auctions, valuation for collateral loans by financial institutions, compensation for public projects, and selection of standard land official prices. The association also holds the authority to assign appraisers when appraisal requests are made by the government, corporations, or institutions.
