[2024 Asset Disclosure] Average Wealth of Heads of Institutions under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups is 2.4 Billion KRW
The average assets of heads of institutions under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups subject to asset disclosure were found to be approximately 2.4 billion KRW.
On the 28th, the Government Ethics Committee for Public Officials disclosed the "2024 Regular Asset Changes of Public Officials," which included this information. The committee published the asset disclosure details of public officials subject to disclosure, including political appointees under the executive branch, senior civil servants of grade A, presidents of national universities, heads of public-related organizations, heads of metropolitan and basic local governments, metropolitan council members, and city/provincial superintendents of education, in the official gazette.
According to the disclosed data, as of the end of last year, the average assets of seven heads of institutions under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups were calculated at 2,425,630,000 KRW.
Kang Seok-jin, President of the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, reported assets of 1,462,660,000 KRW, an increase of 44,760,000 KRW compared to the previous year. Major reasons for the change include salary savings, living expenses, and stock sales.
Kim Jong-ho, President of the Korea Technology Finance Corporation, reported 1,653,170,000 KRW, a decrease of 153,650,000 KRW from last year's 1,806,820,000 KRW. Park Sung-hyo, President of the Small Enterprise and Market Service, reported assets of 2,257,600,000 KRW, a decrease of 14,410,000 KRW from last year's report. The total assets of Lee Sang-hoon, Chairman of the Korea Credit Guarantee Foundation, amounted to 2,828,060,000 KRW, a decrease of 150,370,000 KRW compared to before.

Kim Young-hwan, Secretary-General of the Foundation for Cooperation between Large, Small, and Medium Enterprises and Agriculture and Fisheries, reported 2,875,390,000 KRW, a decrease of 330,640,000 KRW compared to the previous report. Han In-guk, Director of the Daegu Center for Creative Economy and Innovation, reported 4,366,580,000 KRW, with a change of 31,290,000 KRW.
