Gwangju University Signs Comprehensive MOU with Vietnam's Nguyen Trai University
Gwangju University signed a comprehensive memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the 26th at the 6th-floor conference room of the administration building on campus with Nguyen Trai University in Vietnam to establish the Vietnam-Korea International University, a dual degree program, as well as cooperation in student exchange, language training courses, and staff exchange.
Nguyen Trai University in Vietnam, established in Hanoi in 2008, has about 3,500 students with 16 majors including Korean language and Korean culture, and is planning to establish the Vietnam-Korea International University (VKIU) on 34 hectares near Hadong subway station in Vietnam.

Kim Dong-jin, president of Gwangju University, said, "Vietnam is the best educational partner country that has maintained the closest and most friendly relationship with our university," adding, "Let us create a successful cooperation model where both universities win by linking Gwangju University's internationalization capabilities in education with Nguyen Trai University's startup and science and technology research and development capabilities."
