The conclusion of the damages lawsuit filed by Kim Ji-eun, the sexual assault victim of former Chungnam Governor Ahn Hee-jung (59), against the former governor will be reached in May this year. It has been about four years since Kim filed the lawsuit.
The Civil Division 22 of the Seoul Central District Court (Chief Judge Choi Wook-jin) concluded the trial on the 22nd for the 300 million won damages lawsuit filed by Kim against former Governor Ahn and Chungcheongnam-do, and set the verdict date for May 24 at 10 a.m.
In July 2020, Kim filed a lawsuit claiming 300 million won in total for consolation money and medical expenses, stating that she suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) due to sexual crimes and secondary harm caused by former Governor Ahn. At the first trial in June 2021, the former governor's side argued, "There was no secondary harm," and claimed that "Kim's post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is not related to (former Governor Ahn's) illegal acts."
Earlier, in March 2018, Kim revealed that she was sexually assaulted and molested by former Governor Ahn while working as his executive secretary.
