The Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Jeon Woo-heon) announced on the 22nd that Woo Ji-ha, CEO of Appleia Co., Ltd., has joined as the 167th Honor Society member in Gyeongbuk by pledging to donate 20 million KRW annually for five years.
The membership ceremony held on the 21st took place at Yeongju City Hall, attended by Woo Ji-ha, CEO of Appleia Co., Ltd., Park Nam-seo, Mayor of Yeongju, Jeon Woo-heon, Chairman of the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea, and other related officials.

View original imageCEO Woo Ji-ha, who operates Appleia Co., Ltd., a wholesale and retail company specializing in fruits and vegetables, has consistently donated cash and goods (fruits) to vulnerable children in the local community. As his company grew, so did his spirit of sharing, leading Woo to decide to join the Honor Society with the desire to support the healthy growth of children and adolescents in Yeongju.
As the 167th Honor Society member in Gyeongbuk and the 12th in Yeongju, CEO Woo Ji-ha said, “I also experienced economic and psychological hardships during my childhood and adolescence,” and added, “I will strive to spread a culture of sharing throughout Yeongju so that children and adolescents here can grow up happier.”
Jeon Woo-heon, Chairman of the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea, expressed gratitude, saying, “We thank CEO Woo Ji-ha for practicing sharing, and we will do our best to distribute the precious donations well.”

The Honor Society is a group of social leaders who open a brighter tomorrow through participation and support based on interest and understanding of social issues. Membership is available by making a one-time donation of 100 million KRW or more, or by pledging donations within five years.
