SeoulTech is responsible for △overall operation of career and employment-related curricular and extracurricular programs △professional career and employment counseling support △providing recruitment information and supporting employment for unemployed youth △linking various government youth employment policies.
Following the pilot project in 2023, the officially selected ‘Customized Employment Service for Enrolled Students’ project for this year (with a budget of 744 million KRW) utilizes the infrastructure of the University Job Plus Center to support enrolled students’ career and employment activities and provide step-by-step customized services.
The Employment and Career Headquarters has opened and operates a dedicated employment and career counseling room for the ‘Customized Employment Service for Enrolled Students’ in the Second Student Union Building to enhance accessibility and convenience for students.
For lower-grade students, the ‘Build-Up Project’ is conducted to design a ‘Personalized Desired Occupation Portfolio’ based on job and career exploration services and new and future occupation programs, supporting the strengthening of career competencies.
For upper-grade students, the ‘Jump-Up Project’ assesses their employment preparation level and provides customized employment services by establishing and executing a ‘Individualized Employment Activity Plan (IAP)’ based on one-on-one in-depth counseling. Through this, 2,400 enrolled students annually receive counseling services.
Jung Ho-yeon, Director of the University Job Plus Center, stated, “Through the selection as a hub-type project by the Ministry of Employment and Labor for the 2024 academic year, SeoulTech will organize substantial programs for enrolled students, graduates, and local youth, and provide professional career counseling and various employment support.”
