GGM Appoints Kim Dae-sik as New Vice President
Gwangju Global Motors held its 5th regular shareholders' meeting at its headquarters on the 21st and appointed Kim Dae-sik, former head of Kia Slovakia, as the new vice president, and Yeom Gyu-song, former vice president of Gwangju Bank, as a non-executive director.
Kim Dae-sik (63, photo), the new vice president, graduated from Hanyang University with a degree in Mechanical Design Engineering and is an automotive expert with 38 years of experience at Hyundai and Kia Motors. He served as the head of Hyundai Motor Group’s Strategy Coordination Office and Planning Coordination Office, and later as the head of Kia Slovakia. His demonstrated abilities in field operations, policy planning, and overseas markets align well with the direction Gwangju Global Motors aims to pursue.
Yeom Gyu-song (58), the non-executive director, graduated from Chonnam National University with a degree in Trade and worked at Gwangju Bank for over 30 years, serving as branch manager of Songjeong, Juwol, and Baegundong branches, as well as vice president.
