The workshop was attended by 33 people, including representatives from five target villages of the village making project and responsible public officials.

At the training held on the 19th in the large conference room of Sancheong-gun Office, experts were invited to provide ▲an overall explanation of the village making project implementation process ▲activation of village communities.

On the 20th, activities such as ▲field visits to advanced sites ▲idea benchmarking ▲Q&A sessions were conducted, and participants communicated by sharing project plans for each village and ideas for village development during the workshop period.

One participant said, “I feel great pride in being able to participate in a project where residents directly create the village,” adding, “I will work more actively for the development of the village in the future.”

Kim Jin-gon, head of the Sancheong-gun Rural Agreement Support Center, said, “Through this workshop, it was a time for village making stakeholders to improve their practical capabilities by pre-learning conflict management and resolution that may occur during the village making project implementation, education on best practices, and field visits to advanced sites.”

Meanwhile, the ‘2025 Sancheong-gun Village Making Project’ is a resident-led rural development project in which residents themselves set specific goals for village development and participate through step-by-step capacity-building programs such as preliminary plan establishment for each village, aiming to strengthen the capabilities of village residents and expand basic living infrastructure.

Last month, five preliminary project target villages for the village making project were selected through a project application announcement, and until September, Sancheong-gun capacity-building projects will be promoted through resident-led small-scale projects and the establishment of preliminary plans for each village.
