Gyeonggi Fire Department Invites Mongolian Firefighters for 'Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Medical' Training
The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters invited 10 firefighters from the Mongolian Disaster Management Agency and conducted ten days of training on fire, rescue, and emergency medical services, along with tours of various firefighting facilities.
The Fire and Disaster Headquarters announced that the 10 firefighters from the Mongolian Disaster Management Agency stayed in Gyeonggi-do from the 12th to the 21st and had a valuable opportunity to learn advanced disaster response techniques of Gyeonggi Fire Services.
They experienced fire suppression, life rescue, and first aid techniques at the fire, rescue, and emergency training grounds. They also visited the 119 comprehensive situation room of the Fire and Disaster Headquarters, frontline fire stations, and the Korea Fire Industry Technology Institute to observe the on-site command system, firefighting facilities, and equipment.
Since 2014, the Gyeonggi Fire Academy has been operating an "International Disaster Management Cooperation Program" with three countries: Mongolia, Vietnam, and the Philippines. So far, a total of 369 overseas firefighters have regularly visited Gyeonggi Fire Services over 23 sessions, continuing mutual cooperation.

Jo Seon-ho, head of the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters, stated, "We will continue to actively promote various exchange and cooperation projects to strengthen friendly relations between the two countries."
