Lotte Wellfood 'Gana Chocolate House Season 3' Popup
Gana Chocolate by Lotte Wellfood, launched in 1975, celebrated its 50th anniversary this year. To redefine Gana's identity as a 'dessert,' Lotte Wellfood is operating the 'Gana Chocolate House Season 3' pop-up store in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul. This pop-up store is the largest ever, covering approximately 500㎡ (including the 1st and 2nd floors).
The pop-up store, which opened on the 9th, has received great response with 9,000 visitors in just 9 days. The 'Petit Gana Dessert Plate' and 'Make Your Own Gana Class,' both available only through online reservations, sold out within a minute, and the waiting list exceeded 2,000 people, showing tremendous interest.
On the first floor, visitors can enjoy various chocolate desserts and beverages. The lavish seasonal interior decorations catch the eye, and a photo zone is set up for commemorative pictures. Additionally, limited-edition goods made from cacao by-products and various Gana Chocolate-related merchandise are available for viewing and purchase exclusively at the pop-up store.
There is also the 'Gana Heritage Zone,' which introduces the history and manufacturing techniques of Gana Chocolate. Visitors can explore Lotte Wellfood’s unique chocolate technology, the only domestic large corporation capable of 'Bean to Bar' production?from cacao raw materials to finished chocolate products.
A Lotte Wellfood representative said, "Since the pop-up store is held in Seongsu-dong, a hot place for the MZ generation, many young people visit, but older consumers who have long been with Gana Chocolate also come with nostalgic memories."

Meanwhile, the cumulative sales of Gana Chocolate are estimated to have exceeded 1.3 trillion KRW by last year. Converted into quantity, this amounts to about 6.6 billion boxes, which is enough for each South Korean to eat approximately 120 pieces.
