Buchbinder's June Visit to Korea... Complete Performance of Beethoven's Piano Concertos
'Beethoven Specialist' pianist Rudolf Buchbinder will visit Korea this June to perform all five Beethoven piano concertos.
Performance planning company Vincero announced that Buchbinder will perform the complete Beethoven piano concertos on June 26 and 30 at the Seoul Arts Center Concert Hall. Last June, Buchbinder performed all 32 Beethoven piano sonatas.
On the 26th, Buchbinder will perform Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 1 and No. 5, the 'Emperor.' On the 30th, he will perform Nos. 2, 3, and 4.
Buchbinder will both play the piano and conduct. The Lucerne Festival Strings will accompany him.
Buchbinder first performed in Korea in 2012. Since then, except for 2014-2016 and 2020, he has visited Korea every year. This June's concert will be his ninth visit to Korea.
He has previously performed the complete Beethoven piano concertos once before, in May 2018 at the Tongyeong International Music Festival. This will be his first time performing the complete Beethoven piano concertos at the Seoul Arts Center.
Buchbinder is regarded as the world's foremost Beethoven expert. He has performed the complete Beethoven piano sonatas more than 60 times worldwide. In Korea, he first performed the complete Beethoven piano sonatas at the Seoul Arts Center last June.

Tickets will be available for reservation from 2 p.m. on the 20th via the Seoul Arts Center and Interpark. Seoul Arts Center paid members can pre-book starting at 2 p.m. on the 19th. If you reserve both concerts at the Seoul Arts Center in R and S grades, you can receive a 30% discount.
