Jangheung-gun 'Emergency Medical System Operation' Minimizes Medical Service Gaps
Establishment of Emergency Medical Response Situation Room and Emergency Response System Setup
Jangheung-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 19th that it will operate an emergency medical system to protect residents' health and ensure the continuity of emergency medical services as collective action in the medical community intensifies.
The county dispatched one public health doctor to Seoul Asan Medical Center at the request of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters to support tertiary hospitals facing increasing manpower shortages.
Currently, public health doctors working in the region are conducting rotational medical services three days a week at health centers and two days a week at town and township health clinics.
To prevent medical service gaps during weekends, holidays, and nighttime hours, an emergency medical response situation room has been established, maintaining a cooperative system with two local emergency medical institutions and the Jangheung-gun Medical Association.
To minimize inconvenience in using medical institutions, the medical schedule is announced in advance on the Jangheung-gun and health center websites, as well as at town and township administrative welfare centers and health institutions.
During the medical service gap period, Jangheung-gun is strengthening cooperation with the 119 ambulance service to ensure rapid response to emergency patients and is establishing a system for prompt action in emergency situations.
Through this, the county aims to secure the golden time for emergency patients and enable the provision of swift medical services.
