Checking 'Cleanliness, Infection, Safety'... Ulsan City Begins On-site Inspection of Postpartum Care Centers
Targeting 3 Postpartum Care Centers on the 19th and 28th
Ulsan City is set to conduct inspections of postpartum care centers used by the majority of mothers and newborns.
On the 18th, Ulsan City announced that it will carry out on-site inspections on the 19th and 28th at three postpartum care centers to prevent infections and safety accidents.
A joint inspection team will be formed with district health centers to thoroughly check compliance with infection prevention and safety accident prevention measures.
The main inspection items include △facility and staffing standards, cleanliness and hygiene conditions △whether health records for pregnant women and infants are kept and managed △whether disinfection and necessary measures to prevent infections or diseases are implemented △whether necessary actions such as immediate transfer to medical institutions are taken when infections or suspected diseases occur in pregnant women or infants.
Minor issues found during the inspection will be corrected on-site, while violations will result in administrative actions such as obtaining confirmation documents and issuing correction orders.
