Joincheol Jo, Gwangju Seo-gu Gap Preliminary Candidate, Hustles to Revitalize Local Economy
Jo In-cheol, the Democratic Party preliminary candidate for Seo-gu (Gap), Gwangju Metropolitan City, is working tirelessly to revitalize the local economy.
Recently, Candidate Jo met with Park Jong-beom, Chairman of the World Federation of Overseas Korean Traders Associations (World OKTA) and Youngsan Group, Joo Dae-seok, Vice Chairman of World OKTA, Kwon Man-seong, CEO of CNS Company, and Kim Kwang-woong, Director of Gwangju Jeil Vocational Training Institute, to discuss the revitalization of Gwangju's regional economy.
During this meeting, they discussed directions for development and strategies to strengthen the capabilities of companies in the Gwangju area, export, investment, network linkage, and business activities targeting small and medium-sized enterprises in Gwangju, as well as the globalization of local talent.
Chairman Park Jong-beom stated, "We will do our best to serve as a foothold for the overseas expansion of small and medium-sized enterprises in the Gwangju area by utilizing our global network."
Candidate Jo said, "We will strive to pioneer various overseas markets for small and medium-sized enterprises in cooperation with World OKTA," and requested, "Please work hard to create jobs through overseas capital investment in manufacturing industries in the Gwangju area."
He continued, "Regional growth is national growth," emphasizing, "I will develop Gwangju and Seo-gu to establish a framework for balanced regional development."
He added, "This can only be achieved by fostering local base companies, strengthening capabilities, and nurturing local talent in Gwangju to enhance Gwangju's self-sustaining capacity."
