Suncheon City Video Media Center Selected for Regional Media Center Best Practice Contest
Selected Outstanding Project Cases Highlighting the Unique Characteristics of Suncheon Region
Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Noh Gwan-gyu) announced that the Suncheon City Video Media Center won an award in the Excellent Project category at the ‘2024 Regional Media Center Best Practices Contest’ held by the Korea Media Center Association on the 7th.
This contest was held for the first time this year to discover and spread best practices of regional media centers and to provide motivational development for media centers. The final selection was made through the first document screening by the board of directors of the Korea Media Center Association and on-site presentations and voting by participating centers at the 2024 Korea Media Center Association regular general meeting.

View original imageThe Suncheon City Video Media Center introduced projects combining the charm of the local ‘Suncheon’ with media activities under the theme “12 minutes to immerse you in Suncheon,” including ‘Cine & Book Talk - Cycle of Life,’ ‘Rooftop Garden TV,’ ‘Suncheon Walking Traveler,’ and ‘Suncheon Walk,’ and proposed future directions, receiving recognition for effectively utilizing local resources.
In particular, at the Korea Media Center Association regular general meeting, Lim Yoo-jin, a staff member of the Suncheon City Video Media Center project team, was also selected as an outstanding employee, adding significance to the award.
