Jo Daeyeon plans to fully showcase the charm of the classical guitar as a solo instrument rather than as an accompaniment. Pieces originally composed for piano, violin, and orchestra by Spain's representative guitar composer Francisco T?rrega, arranged for guitar, will be performed consecutively. The program includes Mendelssohn's 'Songs Without Words,' Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 8 'Path?tique,' Chopin's '24 Preludes,' Alard Jean Delphin's '10 Artistic Etudes,' and Joaqu?n Malats' 'Impressions of Spain.'
He will also perform Schumann's 'Album for the Young,' arranged by Andr?s Segovia, known as the 'father of the guitar,' Handel's 'Suites,' and Enrique Granados' '12 Tonadillas in Old Style.' Isaac Alb?niz's 'Suite Espa?ola No. 1,' known as the 'Chopin of Spain,' will be played in a version arranged jointly by Francisco T?rrega and Andr?s Segovia.
Jo Daeyeon plans to conclude the performance with '12 Etudes' by Brazil's representative composer Heitor Villa-Lobos and 'Guitar Sonata,' the only guitar piece by Argentina's representative composer Alberto Ginastera.
