Gwangsan District Council of Gwangju Expands 'Internet Live Streaming' to Standing Committee Meetings
The Gwangsan District Council of Gwangju Metropolitan City will begin 'live internet streaming' of plenary and standing committee meetings through its website and official YouTube channel starting from the 286th extraordinary session opening on the 18th.
By expanding the 'live internet streaming,' which was previously conducted only for plenary sessions, to include standing committee meetings, citizens will be able to vividly observe the council members' legislative activities regardless of their location.
This expansion of 'live internet streaming' was promoted to respond to citizens' right to know through transparent disclosure of legislative activities and to strengthen communication. It is also expected to help restore trust in local councils and enhance their status.
