At the event, Gwangyang Steelworks included 13 items in the kits with love, ranging from essential school supplies for children’s studies such as pens, pencils, highlighters, erasers, and clear files, to mood light humidifiers that help create a healthy study environment.
In particular, about 50 volunteers, mainly young employees of Gwangyang Steelworks, participated, and the event was supported by the ‘POSCO 1% Sharing Foundation,’ funded by 1% of the salaries of POSCO executives and employees (approximately 90 million KRW), adding more meaning to the sharing.
A total of 800 kits were produced and delivered to multicultural families, children with disabilities, group homes, and local children’s centers. Through this event, about 6,800 children have received school supply kits so far, amounting to approximately 640 million KRW in value.
