Complete Vehicle Restriction on Anmin Hill Due to Safety Issues During Jinhae Gunhangje Festival
As the 62nd Jinhae Gunhangje Festival approaches in two weeks, Changwon City in Gyeongnam is busy preparing to welcome citizens and tourists who come to see the cherry blossoms.
The cherry blossoms in Jinhae began to bud around Yeojwacheon on the 10th and are currently in the pre-bloom stage. The blooming period is expected to be on the 25th (source: K-Weather), and usually, full bloom occurs about seven days after the initial bloom. Therefore, during the Jinhae Gunhangje Festival, visitors can enjoy the sight of cherry blossoms dancing the spring waltz in Changwon.
The previously reported plan for one-way traffic on Anmin Hill (from Jinhae-gu to Seongsan-gu) has been revised after consultation with the Jinhae Police Station. Due to safety concerns, vehicle access will be completely restricted during the festival period, allowing only pedestrian viewing. This decision prioritizes the safety of the visitors.
